His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad AlKhalifa, National Security Advisor, Commander of Bahrain's Royal Guard and Secretary General of the Supreme Defense Council, affirmed that the Kingdom has prioritized cybersecurity as a fundamental element for ensuring both security and prosperity. This was established by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa AlKhalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, due to the immense importance of the cybersecurity system in the age of rapid digital developments at the regional and international levels. The cybersecurity system is regarded as an essential component of Bahrain’s ongoing development plans for its critical national infrastructure.

H.H. Sheikh Nasser clarified that the Cabinet, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa AlKhalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, has undertaken various initiatives, including digital transformation efforts. These initiatives demonstrate that the Kingdom of Bahrain possesses the expertise, capabilities and optimistic aspirations for further prosperity in enhancing the security of its digital infrastructure in accordance with the highest cybersecurity standards. H.H. Sheikh Nasser highlighted the significant support received by the telecommunications, information technology, and digital economy sector at all levels, especially given the reliance on the determination of the people of Bahrain to fulfill various aspirations. As a result, the Kingdom of Bahrain has made a remarkable impact across all sectors, emerging as a leading and exemplary model, rich in achievements, while consistently embracing the latest knowledge and best practices.

Sheikh Khalid bin Ali AlKhalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor and His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed AlKhalifa, CEO of the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), members of the NCSC, were in attendance. H.H. Sheikh Nasser expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the NCSC’s efforts and achievements, which have enhanced the Kingdom of Bahrain’s standing in the field of cybersecurity, expressing his hopes for the continued development of the NCSC, while working under the Supreme Defense Council.

H.H. Sheikh Nasser emphasized the importance of building skills and enhancing cybersecurity awareness, as it serves as the country’s shield in the vast space of modern technologies. Also highlighted was that cybersecurity awareness is a shared and significant responsibility, crucial to preserving what the Kingdom of Bahrain has achieved through the efforts of its people in terms of cyber accomplishments. His Highness mentioned that national determination does not stop at this level of dedication; it must continue to ensure ongoing progress and development, creating a better present and future for all. His Highness extended his best wishes to the NCSC and all its members for continued success in serving the nation and its citizens.

H.E. Sheikh Salman expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad AlKhalifa for the immense support he provides to the NCSC’s efforts, affirming that determination is continually renewed in service of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
