Arab International Cyber Security Summit Pre-conference

Yesterday evening, a press conference was conducted to declare that the Kingdom of Bahrain is prepared to host the inaugural Arab International Cyber Security Summit (AICS) held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, from 6 to 8 December, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. This event will be attended by cybersecurity experts and companies from different countries of the world.

During the conference, HE Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, CEO of the National Center for Cyber Security, and member of the Steering Committee, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the importance of this conference in comparison to other similar conferences as it will be a unique event.

He also added “The event will allow decision-makers, IT specialists, and experts to exchange information, consult, and discuss challenges and obstacles, all of which will lead to meaningful cybersecurity recommendations that will aid in the improvement of cyber security techniques.

The first edition of the Summit intends to establish strategies on how Bahrain and other countries face technological advancements and strengthen the protection of critical national data, networks, and infrastructure through workshops and discussion sessions led by various experts, companies, and exhibitors, all which will lead to more effective way to mitigate cybersecurity threats.

Notably, the Kingdom of Bahrain places a high priority on cybersecurity, as it is one of its main pillars, and from this point of view the national cybersecurity strategy has been developed in accordance with the Kingdom's 2030 vision to meet cybersecurity goals.
