Saad Alzubari Presents Innovative Research at IEEE ETECOM 2025
Mr. Saad Alzubari, Cybersecurity Specialist at the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), presented a research paper titled, “A Graph-Based Approach to Anomaly Detection in Windows Event Logs for Enhanced Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR).” The presentation took place during the IEEE ETECOM 2025 International Conference, hosted by the American University in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Al-Zubari stated that the preparation of this research paper was part of the requirements for his Master’s degree at Bahrain Polytechnic, with the support of the NCSC. He explained that the research aims to present an innovative methodology based on AI algorithms, specifically graph-based neural networks, to detect cyberattacks and analyze the behavior of digital systems, contributing to enhanced digital forensic analysis and strengthened incident response capabilities.
At the conclusion of his participation, Al-Zubari emphasized the importance of applied scientific research in developing the national cybersecurity system. He noted that such research contributes to empowering national talents and using modern technologies to protect the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure. He also expressed his gratitude to Bahrain Polytechnic and the NCSC for their continued support of innovation in this vital field.
