The NCSC Conducts Awareness Workshop for Employees of the Supreme Council for Environment
The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), through its Outreach and Awareness Directorate, conducted a specialized cybersecurity awareness workshop for employees of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE). The workshop was held as part of the activities marking Global Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and in recognition of the importance of protecting the digital infrastructure of government entities.
The workshop focused on key concepts of digital protection and methods for preventing cyber threats. It also included practical exercises designed to strengthen participants' capabilities in applying best practices for incident management. Additionally, it aimed to enhance their ability to respond proactively to emerging risks, thereby minimizing potential impacts. The workshop also included examples of risks that could directly affect the environmental sector and environmental project data.
As part of the workshop, participants explored emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), a modern field that presents opportunities to improve efficiency and operational capabilities. It simultaneously introduces new and advanced attack methods that require continuous vigilance and updates to cybersecurity measures.
This initiative reflects the NCSC’s commitment to promoting a secure digital culture and building national capacities across government entities. It aims to ensure the protection of data, information, and the security of Bahrain’s critical infrastructure.
