The NCSC Wins Best Awareness Game Award in the GCC

The Kingdom of Bahrain’s leadership in the field of digital security was reflected in its outstanding achievements, as national digital projects earned top positions across multiple categories at the GCC Digital Government Awards (DGA). The award ceremony was held in the State of Kuwait, in collaboration with the Secretary General of the GCC. The ceremony was attended by key government entities from across the region involved in digital transformation.

The National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC) won first place in the category of Best Purposeful Digital Game for its awareness project, "Cyber Guardian." The project is designed to promote cybersecurity awareness, foster a culture of digital safety, and address growing cyber challenges through an innovative, interactive experience specifically designed for young audiences.

His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed AlKhalifa, CEO of the NCSC, expressed his great pride in this national achievement. His Excellency emphasized that this accomplishment is a direct result of the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, as well as the guidance and support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa AlKhalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The CEO noted that their visionary leadership has been instrumental in strengthening Bahrain’s cybersecurity infrastructure and fostering a secure and reliable digital environment.

His Excellency further stated that winning the award for the "Cyber Space Guardian" project reflects the NCSC’s dedication to developing innovative digital awareness tools that keep pace with rapid technological advancements. He added that these initiatives play a crucial role in raising cybersecurity awareness across all segments of society, particularly among the younger generation.

His Excellency Sheikh Salman also extended his congratulations to His Excellency Mohammed Ali AlQaed, Chief Executive of the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), on winning first place as the Best GCC Platform for the National eParticipation Platform, in addition to receiving the Recognition Award for “MyGov” app. His Excellency Sheikh Salman commended the collaborative national efforts among government entities in developing digital initiatives that reflect the Kingdom of Bahrain’s leading position, both regionally and globally.

His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa affirmed that the GCC DGA serves as a leading platform for recognizing impactful initiatives, promoting a culture of positive competition, and encouraging the exchange of best practices in the field of digital transformation. His Excellency also noted that the NCSC will continue to adopt the latest technological solutions and develop innovative projects in cybersecurity awareness and protection, in support of the Kingdom’s digital goals.
